Verdict is in! No weekly bib deposit. We'll be issuing everyone a Kenny Hill Autowerks Pure Austin Bib Number. It will be yours for the season. If you lose it, $5 replacement fee. However, you won't get this number till the 19th as they won't be in till then. So, this week, you'll simply get a number and you'll use it till our event specific ones show up. |

Go with one set of numbers and charge for a replacement. Have the officials identify and punish all outlaws (that's their job right?). Oh yeah, be sure to publish their names. |

| Assuming not many racers out there are color blind- - definitely assign one set to one racer, possibly with a one time deposit. Lost numbers will cost extra. Assign Pink numbers as a Scarlet Letter for dunces & vagabonds. One drawback to rotational colors is having to make sure you have packed the right number for the right day, etc... It is hard enough to remember packing the hairnet,shoes,socks... |

I couldn't agree more. Hey, look, as with the 3/4 race, I'm open to ideas. Since I responded earlier I've thought about different ways to do it. I thought about issuing each rider a set of numbers for the year and the email blasting day of each week, "red, or blue, or pink," and if you lose a number it's $5 to get a new one, but then having your number before hand allows the problem to continue. Since the problem for many seems to be a need to leave quickly after the races to ride home before dark, we could make it a $5 deposit. You leave with your number, bring it back the next week and swap it out for that week's color? Think about the tools to work with here. Color coded numbers. Rotating colors each week. Number Deposits. Alternatively we could do roll call each week, but then this would cut into valuable daylight. Hit me with your ideas VC Slim. I've got my catcher's mit on.

I've done the recycled # routine and it literally stinks. The funk, not to mention rusty pins, that folks leave behind is nasty. Get out the disposalable gloves and biohazard sacks for handling those things. |

That's the plan. Hand over your license or a $5'er and pin it on before the race and take it off after the race and get it back. Just like the old days and Bill Glaze's set of vinyl numbers. Apparently there was a problem last year with people wearing their number from the week before, ducking registration and just lining up, i.e. banditing the race. The result. Color coded numbers. You turn your number in every week. We will be rotating the color series to be able to avoid problems with people ducking registration. Blame it on the dishonest! Best, Willis |

Flyer states there is a bib # deposit of '$5 or license'. Surely we're not going to turn in numbers each week. Seems like a $5 number replacement cost would work better. Slim |
